Why Science Matters
At Carpenter, science comes alive through hands-on exploration and discovery. Students investigate the world around them by asking questions, making observations, conducting experiments, and developing critical thinking skills.
Parents for Carpenter (PFC) proudly funds Carpenter's Science Program, giving every TK–5 student the opportunity to learn through hands-on exploration and discovery.
Our students explore concepts such as the states of matter, the solar system, electricity, weather, living systems, and much more through engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
Meet Our Science Teacher
Josselyn Pacheco leads Carpenter's Science Program for all TK–5 students. Before joining Carpenter, she served as a STEM Education Facilitator for more than four years and has extensive experience teaching Next Generation Science Standards and Common Core curriculum.
Her passion for hands-on learning helps students build curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for science.
