Parent Organizations at Carpenter

Working together to support every Carpenter Cougar.

Three organizations. One shared mission.

Carpenter Community Charter is supported by three parent organizations, each serving a unique and complementary role in helping our students, teachers, and school community thrive.

Together, these organizations strengthen Carpenter through leadership, advocacy, fundraising, and family engagement.

Parents for Carpenter (PFC)

Parents for Carpenter (PFC) is an independent California 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and Carpenter's official booster club. PFC raises funds that support Carpenter's enrichment programs, classroom aides, teacher wish lists, campus improvements, educational resources, student support, and other opportunities beyond what public funding provides.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The PTA is Carpenter's local chapter of the National PTA. It promotes family engagement, school community events, parent advocacy, and membership. Funding is provided primarily through membership dues and fundraising activities.

School Governance Council

The School Governance Council is composed of elected parents, teachers, staff members, and the school principal. The council helps guide Carpenter's strategic direction, support Charter goals, and represent the voices of families and staff.
